VALERIE DAMRON
Valerie has lived in and loved Kern County since her freshman year of high school. The child of a military pilot, she was fortunate enough to grow up in several cultures: The Philippines, Germany, Texas, and finally Arvin, California. She attended Bethany University in Santa Cruz, graduating with a degree in Social Science. After her college graduation, she began her management career in the food and hospitality industry: a career that introduced her to hundreds of employees seeking mentorship. She's thankful the service industry taught her the power of believing in the potential of every human to become their best self. Valerie has been married to her high school sweetheart for 36 years and has two adult children, who she claims to have been her greatest teachers in life. She loves to cook, entertain, sing, dance, and spend time with her friends and family. In seeking out and ENTHUSIASTICALLY accepting a new career at Bakersfield Angels, she looks forward to encouraging and passing on hope and love to children in foster care and the precious families that give them the care they deserve. "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." - Ralph Waldo Emerson |
