Marri Tillema
Marri graduated with a degree in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She is the mother of four wonderful adult children and raising them has been her greatest lifelong joy. She has been in the dairy business with family her entire life and has lived in Bakersfield for 28 years. Marri is active serving in leadership in Women’s Ministry at her church. She has also traveled to Haiti as a part of Love Deaf Haiti Ministry, which helps ensure the safety, hygiene, nutrition, education, and overall spiritual growth of the deaf children living there.
Now that the adventure of raising her children has dramatically changed, Marri has freedom to pursue her own hobbies and dreams. She loves to travel and play cards and tennis. Her favorite thing to do is get together with friends and laugh! She says, “I have no impressive portfolio or credentials or unique or special talents. But I do know that I can consistently show up and make a difference in a child’s life!” She has the compassion and desire to help children and young adults that are neglected and have huge disadvantages. She is excited to serve on the board of Bakersfield Angels because of their mission to help, encourage and love on the children, young adults and their families in the foster care system. She is confident we can change lives by investing in relationships! |
