JenN young

Jenn Young is the Co-Executive Director of Bakersfield Angels, where she has been a key member since its founding in September 2020.  She played an instrumental role in developing the Dare to Dream program, which connects youth experiencing foster care with mentors from the community. Jenn is deeply passionate about ensuring everyone, regardless of their circumstances, is seen, valued, loved, and encouraged—empowering them to reach their full potential and inspire future generations.
Having experienced the profound impact of mentors in her own life, Jenn is dedicated to supporting the incredible staff and volunteers of Bakersfield Angels who facilitate life-changing connections for local youth and families. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of the Pacific and has worked as a Behavior Specialist, supporting children with developmental disabilities and their families.
Jenn has been married for 29 years to Mike, a 4th generation family business owner/operator. They are proud parents of three adult children—Emma, Halle, and Jake—who continually remind them of the importance of remaining grateful and staying grounded.
