Dana Bouma
Dana received her A.A. in Fashion Merchandising from the American College of the Applied Arts in Los Angeles, CA. Ultimately God had another plan, and Dana fell in love, got married at young age of 20, and made the choice to be a full time, stay-at-home mom to 4 kids, one of which was in and out of the foster care system many times though out his young life. Dana's bonus son came to live with their family permanently at the age of 14. He is now 24 and doing amazing.
Dana volunteered in the youth group program at her church and led Bible study for a group of high school girls. She was blessed enough to mentor and love on many young lives. Dana also serves on the Key Event Committee, most recently as Chairwoman, to raise funds for students that desire to attend Bakersfield Christian High School. She and her husband have always been passionate about finding the means for any youth that desires to receive a Christian education, believing everyone should be able to get the help needed to make it possible. Dana has been married for 28 years and her youngest child will graduate from high school in June of 2021; she is ready and excited to serve God and her community in the next chapter of her life. With a heart for kids that come from tough homes and for the people who are stepping in to help them feel loved and find their way, she knows without a doubt, Bakersfield Angels is where she is meant to work hard on their behalf and lend her heart and her voice. |
