CIERRA ROGERS
Cierra recently graduated, cum laude, from California State University, Bakersfield with a B.A.in English. Yet, throughout her college experience, she took interest in teaching children about how to tap into their intrinsic strengths and gifts. As a former soccer coach, fitness class instructor, and director of a local enrichment program, her eyes have been opened to the specific needs of children and families. Along her journey to finding her life’s calling, she has worked with various organizations which focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of children all across the greater Bakersfield area. Therefore, as a firm believer in the idea that everyone has a purpose in this life, Cierra finds her purpose in building up our youth with love and support.
Coming from a large family, Cierra understands the effectiveness of unrelenting support that she has received throughout the years, which has aided her in her successes. Nevertheless, what ultimately propelled Cierra to action was the astonishing statistics within the foster care system regarding the potential difficulties and outcomes of foster youth. Now, as a new Case Manager for Bakersfield Angels, Cierra hopes to reach those that have slipped through the cracks in order to supply them with hope, support, and encouragement. |
