From a young age, Amethyst knew she wanted to be someone who uplifts the community she has always called home. That sense of purpose led her to earn a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Health and Wellness, graduating summa cum laude. That same purpose ultimately brought her to her role as a Case Manager with Bakersfield Angels.
Amethyst brings over 12 years of experience working with children as a Behavior Interventionist, along with specialized training in Restorative Practices. These experiences have shaped not only her skill set but also her deep belief in the power of relationships, resilience, and showing up with empathy. She believes in meeting people where they are and walking alongside them as they rise. A people person through and through, Amethyst thrives on building meaningful connections and empowering others to recognize their own strengths.
Outside of work, she finds healing and self-expression through writing, singing, and playing music. She believes that creativity, especially through “writing it out”, is one of the most powerful ways we can grow, connect, and bring light to even the hardest moments.
"Everybody is somebody, everyone has a story, and everyone deserves a chance."
