GAVIN KIMMEL
Gavin Kimmel was born and raised in San Jose, California. At 23, he answered the call to serve, and joined the United States Marine Corps. He served as an infantryman in 3rd Battalion 7th Marines and deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan in 2011. Three months before his deployment, he married his best friend, Rochelle, here in Bakersfield. While on active duty, Gavin received his Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Administration. In 2014, Gavin and Rochelle moved their family to Bakersfield right before their first child was born. Gavin began working in the oil industry and earned his Masters of Business Administration during this time. Now, as a father of 3, Gavin is passionate about his role as a father and living out his faith as an example to his children. Gavin is heavily involved in international missions and actively pursues opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. Because of the influence of his children and how they have shaped his view of the world, he is sensitive and compassionate to issues surrounding children and families. Supporting Bakersfield Angels is one such way in which he is able to give back to his community and ensure a better future for those in need.
